During this wedding endeavor we tried to save money where we could. I love playing with my niece's hair and it allows me to practice on my braid skills. It definitely helps that she has long gorgeous locks to work with! I decided I wanted to go with an up-do because I knew she'd be dancing the night away so I attempted to keep all hair out of the way all evening.
She also has really fine hair so in order for the braids to look thick I decided to double up on one side and do one small on the left side to load down with extra flowers. Once I had both braids completed I sprayed with hairspray and pulled the braids slight outward to make the braid appear wider.I brought the two braids on the right and the one braid on the left to meet at the nape of her neck and fasten with a hair tie.
I had curled her hair prior to styling so that it would have a good amount of volume. Once the braids were fastened together I threaded the rest of her hair through and pinned with lots and lots of bobby pins. I then added the flowers to the left side and sprayed it all in place. Once the hairspray dried I used a fine comb to pull out the top to add more volume. I couldn't have been more happy with it and she loved the attention and compliments she got all night! I hope you got some inspiration from these pictures!
