Shabby Chic Garden Party

Monday, May 22, 2017

Last weekend my best friend's daughter turned 1, and when a little girl turns 1 there is no alternative than to celebrate with the closest family and friends and lots and lots of pink. The theme was a "shabby chic garden party" and if you met this little princess and her mama you would know it's all pink, frills, and southern charm with those two so the theme fit perfectly. The light and dark pinks mixed with mint was the perfect combination to create a garden party atmosphere which could be found throughout all of the party decor. The picture above was the focal point of the party and a gorgeously executed setup by the birthday girl's mommy, Samantha. She hung the lattice from the tent they rented, used canvas prints of Blakely's 1 year photo shoot to accent the super cute balloon arch which highlighted the perfectly crafted wooden "Blakely" sign in the middle. It was so precious and came together so well! I just got to help a little and take the pictures!

Two super easy decor items were the centerpieces (shown above) and a monogram accent piece (shown below). The centerpieces were crafted from dollar tree mini galvanized buckets, floral foam blocks, flowers from Hobby Lobby, pieces of burlap, and hot glued pink pearls. The monogram accent was made from the B made by SipLee Art, a hula hoop, burlap and lace ribbon from Hobby Lobby(wrapped around the hula hoop and hot glued), and matching flowers(hot glued). Super easy but looks so classy and added the perfect detailing to the theme!

Whoops! So glad I caught this moment in action. :) I'm sure Blakely was thinking, "Did I do that?"....

The party was a smash hit, Samantha did such an amazing job thinking up every detail and bringing it to life. It's always nothing less than the best for her little ones and this party did not disappoint! You can shop my look, Sam's look, and Blakely's looks below as well as use some of the same resources Samantha used to make this party a huge success! If you have any questions you can leave a comment below or email me thesaltypinkpineapple@gmail.com! This was definitely a "Pinterest win!"
