It is a BEAUTIFUL day here in NC, woke up to 73 degree weather and had a great walk with my pup. Although I know it will still probably reach 90 later today I'm going to relish in the breezy mornings we're getting lately. I have been waiting for this day to partake in all the pumpkin spice everything there are out there now, including candles! If you know me then you know I have a candle obsession so it's been real tough refraining from making everyone that comes in my home pass out from pumpkin smells. BUT ALAS! The day has come where I feel it is officially acceptable to go crazy over it, even though I am sad summer is ending.
There are so many things I feel I left on the table this summer to accomplish so I've decided to share some of my short term goals with you that I am planning to complete/do by the end of Autumn 2017 to have some kind of accountability!
1. Read AT LEAST 2 new books.
I know this seems like it should be easy but there is just not enough time in a day to do everything! But I want to make time for this.
2. Exercise 3 times a week.
My idea of exercise right now is walking my dog 3 times a day and even that is more like a stroll. We just moved into a new place and it has an AWESOME gym so literally my excuse now is no excuse at all, just pure laziness. But I want to change that!
3. Meet and possibly collaborate with 2-3 other bloggers.
Shyness will get you no where and there are some great bloggers in NC that I would love to meet so I'm going to put myself out there!
4. Volunteer my time
When I was in school I used to volunteer my time a lot, but as I've become an adult my time has become a little self centered. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with focusing on your self from time to time but giving back is a great way to meet the right kind of people so I will be actively looking for ways to volunteer my time!
5. Send hand written letters to family and friends.
Gone are the days when the only time you heard from that old friend or your cousin was through hand written letters. My cousins and I used to write to each other a lot as well as friends that had moved away. Although technology keeps relationships like those closer, some times it can be a little impersonal. I love looking back on old letters I received, even from in school when we passed notes back and forth. I want to send out some letters that are meaningful to family and friends I haven't spoken to in a while.
That's it! Doesn't seem like much but these are things that if I don't write them out then I'll forget I ever wanted to do them. Even if I don't do these right away I can look back and say to myself, "You can still do this, the year is not over!" What's on your bucket list? May some things you just want accomplish before 2017 is up? I'd love to hear them! Email us @ Thesaltypinkpineapple@gmail.com !
Thanks for reading and HAPPY FALL Ya'll!!!
