Valentine's Day Crafting | DIY Dollar Tree Wreaths
Wednesday, February 13, 2019
How many of you out there love decorating for holidays? Each holiday brings new decor, new color schemes, and fun things to celebrate so I love creating new items to decorate the house with each season! And even when you have no more room for decor in your own home, they make super cute gifts! If you've been reading SPP for a while, you know I frequent Dollar Tree each season (or let's be honest, each month) and pick up items I think can be turned into or used for cute decoration or party items. Their selection for Valentine's Day did not disappoint!
When I gather supplies to make different creations there is a lot of trial and error that goes into it. I always place things before glueing and try different settings of the craft supplies before I commit to permanently sticking anything. To start out, though, I always place the floral part first because that is typically the most prominent part of the wreath and everything else should be pieced together after that. It is much hard to go back and place your flowers after you've committed to other parts due to the long stems and many parts that will need to be glue or tied in place.
I decided to make my first quick video to show just how easy it is and how simple the process can be! I literally put these two together within a 30 minute time span one night while watching my show! Creating simple but cute things like this is like a mind relaxer for me and I hope it inspires you to try and relax using your creative outlet!
